Hydrophone is a sculptural sound piece installed as part of The Strand Ephemera Festival, it consisted of an old fashioned red telephone connected to an underwater microphone that lay deep out in the ocean.

Passers-by could pick up the receiver and hear the deep ocean sounds.

This installation remained on site for two weeks and was a hit with thousands of people.
