​​​Listen, Now Walk was part of the 5th biennial Strand Ephemera Festival in 2009. ​​

The festival exhibited outfdoor public sculpture along the foreshore of The Strand in Townsville.

"Listen, Now Walk" was a site specific audio adventure.   Participants downloaded audio files and a map from the internet or picked up pre loaded mp3 players from The Strand then listened and followed instructions.

​

It is a work that brings together history, art, adventure, self reflection and play.  Participants listened to stories of whimsy, completed tasks and become lost in the narrative.  The aim of the work was to turn the listener into a constantly shifting, ephemeral sculpture and to create an intimacy within a vast landscape.

Listen, Now Walk was awarded the Innovation Award as part of the festival.
